To be an active citizen we need access to information on the issues so we may learn enough about them to separate the truth from the chaff. Next we need the means to put what we have learned into action through expression of ideas and opinions. This is Citizen Power. The purpose of this section is to provide you with the information and access you need to become an active citizen. On the following page you will find a list of links to selected issues. Clicking them will open an article about the issue in the Issues frame. Also on the page is a list of actions, which usually amount to writing newspaper editors and government officials and representatives. On occasion, depending on their relevance, we will post special actions lists to provide access to other people and organizations. At the bottom of the Actions section is a link to Google which will open in a new window if you wish to search for information offsite.
