Join us for our next Green Sunday! Find
out how local people are cleaning up and restoring the beautiful
natural habitat of our creeks. Learn about making our streets better
for our environment as well as better looking.
1) We'll hear about the Sausal Creek restoration
project in Oakland. Local creek activists will tell us about their
ongoing project to return as much as possible of Sausal Creek to
a more natural state. See also: www.sausalcreek.org
[fyi - Sausal Creek comes down Diamond Canyon and crosses 580 near

2) A member of the Oakland-based urban
design firm, Community Design + Architecture will present his firm's
"Green Streets" handbook for ecologically responsible road design,
first created for the Portland Metro Region. Greater integration
achieves environmental goals as well as create attractive urban
