Background and Purpose: GPCA Bylaws (Article 5-1.1) state that, in the scheduling of General Assemblies, "Date and location for next meeting shall be determined by the close of each meeting." To provide a written proposal for approval at the May 26th-27th General Assembly in San Francisco, the Green Party of Riverside County submits the following

Proposal: That the next GPCA General Assembly take place in Riverside, on September 8th-9th

Proposed Date: September 8th-9th

Proposed Location: Glen Avon, located just west of Riverside and just east of the intersection of the CA-60 and I-15 freeways, and just south of the intersection of the I-10 and I-15 freeways

Proposed Venue: Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice 7701 Mission Road, Glen Avon, California

Cost of Venue: $100 for the weekend

Meeting Space Capacity: 100+

Breakout Room Capacity: Several rooms and outside areas

Dining Facility: We can eat in various rooms and outside

The Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with its main office located in Riverside, California. The Center's goal is to bring groups of people together to find opportunities for cooperation, agreement and problem solving. We work with community groups in developing and sustaining democratically based, participatory organizations that promote involvement of a diverse segment of the community in ways that empower....The goal of the Center is to build a strong movement for change that recognizes the connections between environmental and worker exploitation, and oppression on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation and class, and incorporates that connection in the primary activities of the Center.
