The first issue of Green Focus, the publication of the Green Party of
California, was published in September 2002 as a special 'state slate'
issue. People have used this newspaper all over the state -- at regular
tabling sites, peace rallies, and other events -- to let people know about
the Green Party.
We are now accepting submissions for our January 2003 issue. Help us start
out this newspaper by sending us your submissions and/or subscriptions.


SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We are looking for graphics (e.g., cartoons and photos), articles, and book
reviews. The emphasis of Green Focus is on issues that are relevant to the
Green Party platform and to Californians, although we will certainly accept
articles that address national and international issues as well. The
newspaper is to be used as a form of communication to Green Party members
and as an outreach tool for the general public.

For detailed guidelines and addresses for submissions of news or opinion
articles, book reviews, cartoons and photos, please visit our website at
www.cagreens.org/greenfocus. Please keep articles short so we can increase
our coverage of issues, and we reserve the right to edit for length.
Graphics to accompany articles are helpful (note that most Jpeg images are
not high-quality enough for newspaper use).

SUBSCRIPTION

We ask that all Green Party locals encourage their members to subscribe to
Green Focus in order for this newspaper to become self-sustaining.
