Candidates nominated were Josefina Aranda, Genevieve Bertone, Tom Bolema, Danielle Mead, Kevin McKeown, Gabrielle Weeks

Ellen Maisen nominated by Coby Skye, but as an alternate only

Discussion over election process ensures, with disagreement over which of two processes is required by GPLAC Bylaws - IRV for each seat individually, or STV for all three seats at once

Feinstein proposes that process for the election is IRV for each seat

Proposal passes

Seat 1:

Bolema: received five first preferences.
McKeown: received two first preferences.
Weeks: received one first preference.

Tom Bolema was elected GPCA Coordinating Comittee Regional Representative 5 - 2- 1

Preferences cast:
ballot one: Bolema, Aranda, Bertone
ballot two: Bolema, Aranda, Mead
ballot three: Bolema, Mead, Aranda
ballot four: Bolema, Aranda, Mead, Bertone, McKeown, Weeks
ballot five: McKeown, Mead, Weeks
ballot six: Bolema
ballot seven: Weeks, McKeown, 'no other candidate'
ballot eight: McKeown, Mead, Bolema, Bertone, Weeks, Aranda

Seat 2:

Aranda: received four first preferences.
Mead:received two first preferences
McKeown: received two first preferences

Upon inspection of second preferences, one of Mead's first preference supporters supported Aranda with their second preference, and one supported McKeown with their second preference; while one of McKeown's first preference supporters supported Mead and did not cast a second preference. In the first scenario, Aranda is elected 5 - 3. In the second scenario, Aranda is elected 4 - 3.

Note: according to Rob Richie, Executive DIrector of the Center for Voting & Democracy in Washington, D.C., the first step should not have been to look at the second preferences, but to do a coin flip first between Mead and McKeown, then go to the second prefererences. In either case here, regardless of who would have won the coin flip, the result would have been the same, in terms of Aranda being the winner.
