MOJAVE GREENS

Getting started

This is your party. What can you do to make it a success? We need places to meet, donations to operate, ideas and goals and members to realize them. Green signifies GO! Small groups can focus on multiple issues simultaneously and really have an impact.

First things first

Organizing. Again, everyone is responsible for the success of the party. Commit to performing some work for the party. You have a lot to offer and a little goes a long way. Voter registration is a year-round affair. One can change one's party anytime just by filing a voter registration form available at the post office. Encourage people to register Green.

Education. Members need to know the party platform so they can educate others. Log onto the state Green Party site listed below to access policy directions. Make our positions known by speaking up at school board and town council meetings, writing op-ed letters to the papers and calling talk radio and television stations. Contact elected officials. Collaborate with other local Greens with whom you share the same goals. There are a lot of misconceptions about the Green Party. Help clear them up. We have everything to gain from advocating renewable resources, election reform, living wage, you name it, and keep it Green.

Run Green Candidates for local offices. School Boards and City and Town Councils are good places to start. You have lots of local support you don't even know about yet. Log onto the state web site. They show a candidacy criterion.

Vote Green. Vote for Green candidates. Log onto the Green Party sites listed below to get election news.
