California Young Greens Gathering 2011 - Meeting Each Other, Taking Action, December 2nd, Los Angeles

When: Friday night, December 2nd, 6pm to 10pm

What: A gathering of and for Young Greens, primarily from across Southern California, but also some from the north. (The gathering is also open to other Greens as respectful observers/participants).

Why: So that Young Greens from across California can meet in person, share what they've been working on at their campuses and in their communities, plan future actions and so so that Young Greens can meet candidates Kent Mesplay and Jill Stein, who are seeking our Green Party presidential nomination in 2012 (see below).

Where: Vermont Square United Methodist Church, 4410 South Budlong Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90037 (corner of Vernon, east of Normandie). See links to public transit here.

How: Admission is free. On-site vegetarian dinner will be provided in exchange for a donation, or bring pot luck vegetarian food to share with others. Please RSVP to gplac-info@cagreens.org by Wednesday, November 30th if possible so we know how much food to prepare.

Lodging: If you want to stay over night to attend the GPCA General Assembly on Saturday and Sunday, December 3/4, bring a sleeping bag and an air mattress, because you can stay overnight at the church in the big gymnasium they have there, and use the separate mens and womens showers in the morning to freshen up.

For More Information: Please contact Harrison Wills (Associated Students President, Santa Monica College) naturallyharrison@gmail.com and Edy Alvarez (Campus Greens, Valley College) valleycollegegreens@msn.com
